Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and a businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the founder and CEO of Thrive Global as well an author of a number of novels. Arianna Huffington is a philanthropist and author television host, and proprietor of the independent liberal online news magazine The Huffington Post. She was born in Greece then moved to England in the year sixteen. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA of Economics. As the first non-English speaking student, she was elected to the presidency of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. After when she graduated, she was an important conservative journalist who was syndicated. Then, a couple of years later, she started The Huffington Post which featured critical commentary on the current political landscape. Arianna was able to attract numerous prominent contributors who shared their perspectives on culture as well as political issues. Arianna was famous following her decision to contest as independently in the California recall vote to succeed the Governor Davis. She also headed an Detroit fuel-efficient car project. In 2009, she was acclaimed by Forbes as one of the most influential women in the media, achieving 12th position on their list. The same year, the Guardian placed her in their top 100 media list. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post, and she was made president of the group of media. The acquisition included numerous AOL products at the time such as Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. The couple she was born to were journalist and manager Konstantinos along with his partner Elli Stasinopoulos. Though she was close to her father, it was the relationship she shared with her mother, which formed her entire life. As early as her childhood, she displayed the ability to lead that has become well known. When she turned 16 she moved to United Kingdom to pursue her education and was enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined the college debating Society Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign and third female president. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned master's degrees in Economics. After graduating, she worked as a critic for a newspaper column and an anchor on a TV show. The appearance she made in Face the music with Bernard Levin was also a highlight. Her first novel was written. books, taking his help with editing.
